Microgreens that matter.

Learn more about our urban indoor hydroponics project and its benefits:

Food is an essential element of life and we believe that we can help make our food system better for both our customers and our employees.

You will find many statistics about the amount of food that is being wasted by being transported thousands of miles or extreme weather conditions that are ruining crops and driving prices up.

At SpringForward, we believe that locally grown hydroponic produce can help our communities lead healthier lives. We grow nutrient-dense and delicious greens that last longer and taste fresher than imported alternatives. Also, by training the next generation of growers, we are filling a need for essential workers with expertise in the growing indoor urban agriculture market sector.

Grown by a diverse workforce with unique talents and abilities.

Our customers expect fresh and delicious produce. They love that EVERY Employee is working together with heart and skill to grow and deliver their food. All too often big corporations look for clever ways to improve their bottom line without consulting their workforce. Employee engagement is a centerpiece of SpringForward Farms. We build our companies differently.

Feeding Baltimore families.

Food security starts with availability, and we are bringing fresh produce to bodegas and grocers around Baltimore City. In partnership with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and local organizations City of Refuge and Grow Home, we are alleviating nutrient scarcity in high food priority areas. SpringForward Farms is growing and selling microgreens and leafy greens in parts of the city that have less access to fresh produce due to their proximity and transportation limitations. We are making these superfoods available and affordable.

We also believe that microgreens are an excellent topping for a crabcake sandwich!
